It's ok to be proud of your heritage and culture. It's not ok to ignore the mainstream appropriation of it. Being a "real one" or "gang" is nice, but radical racists truly believe their genetic superiority and tend to show mercy to legitimate arguments about it.

What's even worse than ignoring the appropriation is the rappers that seem to agree. Especially the African American audience. Affirming stereotypes can be empowering, but it can also be damaging when people are acting mean due to ego.
