Foster Lancaster is a pop singer and producer from Detroit, Michigan. Although he has made a big impact on pop culture, his presentation is aggressively minimal. His music sounds very different from the hip hop and pop landscape, but it resonates in audiences of both markets pretty well. He has left behind his simple piano trademarked production in favor of a more electronic sound. This is also his first album that has a consistent subject matter throughout. The vocals alternate from deep to tenor very smoothly and Foster has really solidified his branding and marketing into a very easily understandable and highly-focused presentation. The vocals are the selling feature, but not because they are extremely dynamic, but because they fit so perfectly with everything else. This album is one you shouldn't miss out on.
