Kanye West is a rapper from Chicago and Ty Dolla Sign is from California. Lately, Kanye's controversial stances and tactless quotes have over-shadowed much of his artistic prowess. Despite that, his artistic prowess is still worth keeping track of. The good news is Vultures 2 is a lot less offensive than Vultures 1 (Ty Dolla Sign has been appropriate on Vultures 1 and 2). Kanye claims to have a "Godly" spirit rather than being the next Jesus. He endorses Jews and Gentiles. There are no attacks or critiques. He's made an album with the raw aesthetic of Gen Z rappers. The production is great, but the album is down tempo and feels like a somber slice of his life. Kanye seems a little happier. Ty Dolla Sign is getting more confident. Vultures is artistic, but it's so eccentric I feel that the message of the lyrics and imagery is getting lost in the desire to express freely.
